In the line of … Paratha.

All in a Day’s work.

… in the Line of Making Paratha (پراٹھا)

That’s what my weekend mornings are buzzed with. Some Desi Ghee, Flour kneaded with Kalonji in it and a yummy paratha.

Desi Delights.

I’m loving to cook … day-by-day.

Ahh but I’m still a fan when others make scrumptious parathas ;)

`Paratha: Getting Fried ;)

…. when everything fails.

I call him. He can make perfect gol walay parathay ;)

I just prepare rest of breakfast in the BG. Mind you it doesn’t happen everyday.

;)

And that’s how it look like usually ;)

ps: had to blog it here .. I feel starved at the moment … oh and no desi ghee for me ;) back on Seeded Breads … Love ‘em :)   Off to some healthy lunch.

pps: I love writings tags in flickr ;)

Bon Appetite!

AamirJuly 13th, 2009 at 8:56 am

“When will technology make sending parathas over cyber-space possible?!”

As soon as I finish this project of mine… Wait.. I need some parathas to test this.

Asma… where are you… Need some parathas… quick

BTW.. I am hungry now and Absar you are damn right man… It’s sort of food-porn now, hard to open in office

SeniliusJuly 13th, 2009 at 9:10 am

In the last shot, the paratha has a lot of pimples!

Eat it with facewash. :P

AdnanJuly 13th, 2009 at 9:43 am

When will technology make sending parathas over cyber-space possible?!

well.. what if some hacker intercepts few packets of data (or few bites in case of paratha)?

RazaJuly 13th, 2009 at 11:30 pm

sigh! … kuch mujhay bhi bana kay bhaij dain plzzz :P

AyeshaJuly 14th, 2009 at 8:16 pm

Lovely photos. I bet the good quality lens made the not-so-good-looking parathas presnetable ;) Ok I am just being too critical the fact is that if I made a paratha I am sure it wouldn’t even have a shape :P yeah I am that bad :D

And desi ghee :o … I am not used to it…. anymore :D

MoorwenJuly 15th, 2009 at 6:32 am

Since years, I have been a fan of ‘Paratha Stuff’, whether they be late night ‘Aalo walas’ at university cafeteria, or early morning breakfast during exams and the ‘Karachi Paratha Rolls’ at a chilling night in open air at Liberty Lahore. The ‘Parathas’ from random traditions while moving around (specially the one in Dasu, Abbotabad, Banjosa and Bagh); Alas! I can’t ignore any of them.

What a ‘man-o-salwa’ Paratha+Omelet combination is!

AdneeJuly 15th, 2009 at 5:53 pm

Nice. They are not amoeba shaped. And is it a pateeri roti in first picture?

farooqkJuly 16th, 2009 at 12:55 am
