Ghotki train disaster and London Bombings!!

Words of my brother:

TRAIN accidents at home are worse to read about than all the terrorism in far away lands. One can well imagine that the government will conduct superficial inquiries and after four weeks the Ghotki accident will be treated as a bygone matter. Pakistan has to learn a lesson from this tragic disaster.

The federal minister should stop making lame excuses and take full responsibility and immediately resign. Well organized and business-oriented railways can generate enough money to invest in technological upgrading. It is unfortunate that all government holdings, including the Pakistan Railways, are operated with obsolete technology complemented with sheer disregard of human life by our decision-makers. That’s the only reason why no government has acted on upgrading the traffic control system.

A hue and cry will be heard for few weeks and silly political discussions will follow with no ultimate resolution at the end. It is certainly frustrating.

My Opinion:

Not even two weeks have passed since that tragic accident, and I’m feeling as if it already has
become an old hue and cry. May Allah bless all those souls in eternal peace.

It’s really difficult to bear such a loss when you are left behind to mourn over deaths. You could never expect a family memeber leaving home for good; not to return ever again. As, in this accident only few of 300 people (unofficial figures … official are much lower) were recognized, so you can well imagine sorrow of those whose families literally vanished in moment’s time.

It’s been more than 2 weeks since London bombings (today again the same was witnessed). But just switch on to any International channel, you’ll be finding all the inquiries and findings on this very incident. It was minor to the accident in Ghotki but was major in UK ever in its history.
The PM of United Kinngdom, Tony Blair, was continuously using the word Pakistanis in his speeches on the incident. Good that Pakistan at last aggressively retreated back in this matter. They were paksitanis by origin, Yes, but were you that innocent in giving them nationalities and immigrations. They were part of you now, so call them Britons not Pakistanis.

Pakistan Responds

Wassalam and Pray that may Allah have mercy on us all, and may all those who died in these incidents rest in eternal peace in their eteranl abode.
