The Same Life!

Assalam-o-Alaykum w.w

Oh, my very favorite show on television, Everybody Loves Raymond ends. Today was its after-finale get-together at Oprah Prime Time show, ad it was so good. I almost loves everyone in the show, they are all so good. At the end of Oprah’s show, me and Betty both were crying Imagine

All this week I did lots and lots of cooking, yeah cooking does not mean chicks and stuff, I cooked things like Gobhi, Teenday … there was a time, some 6-7 years back when anything made up of chicken was all I wanted to eat. I hated mutton at that time and ate very few vegies that definitely had no teenday, kaddoo, and stuff. Then, somehow now chicken makes me feel sick, veggies and pulses are good. Now I prefer mutton to chicken. Anyways, where was I … cooking all this week … so on Saturday I made Chinese rice, though it was easy and its always delicious and I love most of Chinese food. The rice I cooked really tasted very good, and I think they look nice too … what do ya say?

On Friday, in alliance we had a very good class. They hae a very good kitchen there, and as my ma’m was making pan cakes at that time so we all (3 ppl) went to kitchen with Le Titanic and studied there and at the end we had pancakes with choco syrup. So, on my return home, I was all energetic, I mixed the batter (white flour, egg, few table spoons of milk, lots of sugar finely chopped ;-) , and water) and made pancakes. First one was bit pheeka, kacha and mota. Then on my abu’s advice I added bit baking powder in it, and lots of sugar as per my taste, and again tried some more. They became better and better and were really good. Have a look at these one, the one that is bit star shaped is like this because I could not resist and I took some creative bytes …

So, that is how life’s going these days, slow, bit of I don’t know what, it’s just that I hate everything these days, feeling utterly lonely, missing ami, missing everyone!

Anyways …!

Wassalam

Chinese rice are good to see, the taste you have described, so, should be really good.

Sorry, madam ! I got stuck at two points in your post because I am not well conversant with food-making.

1. How sugar is chopped ?

2. What is Pan Cake in Urdu ?

Walaikum us salam, yes looks very tasty. I am salivating and famished too even after a heavy breakfast in the morning (its still 11 am here). I still dont find myself much inclined towards Teendas and Gobhees and the likes.

Next time please try out the Kalbli Pulao. My mother cooked it last sunday and was it fantastic.
