_ Pakistani Flag – The Sole Representative _
Today was the ending ceremony of Olympics 2004 in Athens, No Paksitani has won any medal for 16 yrs … Pretty long time. Today during the first 1.45 hrs of the ceremony , I looked and looked anxiously for any Pakistani out there among the athletes, but I saw not a single Green-Suited person who could be called somewhat a “Desi” . We had 11 players of our hockey team and ye 3-4 other players but no one could be seen or pin poined out of the 6,000 players out there in the stadium . I felt kind of low … What Pakistanis are doing man , can’t they just compete in anything with some ability to do it and can’t we really some bring some medals to our country as well , there were people who won from such small and poorer countries as Luthania , countries I even haven’t heard in my 20 yr life. What a pity!
But me and my family watching the ceremony were really very very delighted … I even shoutted some slogans of excitement as Yeaaaah ! HO HOOOO! as well upon seeing “My Beloved Green Flag” flowing through the winds on the middle stage, ours was the only flag flowing and flowing out of the row of all countries flags. Atleast our flag could do something … if our players or nation can’t.
But still I feel the lack of interest is on administration side where retired colonels and majors and general are recruited who themselves don’t know anything even related to games. So how could people can come out of tis environment …. Point to thing for all Pakistanis out there.
Bravo My Dearest Flag … I Love You

Help me Dude, I’m lost.
I was searching for Elvis and somehow ended up in your blog, but you know I’m sure I saw Elvis in the supermarket yesterday.
No honest really, he was right there in front of me, next to the steaks singing “Love me Tender”.
He said to me (his lip was only slightly curled) “Boy, you need to get yourself a shiny, new plasmatv to go with that blue suede sofa of yours.
But Elvis said I, In the Ghetto nobody has a plasma tv .
Dude I’m All Shook Up said Elvis. I think I’ll have me another cheeseburger then I’m gonna go home and ask Michael Jackson to come round and watch that waaaay cool surfing scene in Apocalypse Now on my new plasma tv .
And then he just walked out of the supermarket singing. . .
“You give me love and consolation,
You give me strength to carry on ”
Strange day or what?
yes, its really disappointing.
