Sad Demise – Mirza Abdul Haq Sahab

Assalam o alaykum,

Just now got the news that our very dear grand father (my father’s chacha) and all of used to call him chacha jii too … died peacefully at the age of 106. (Innalilah e wa inna alyhe rajeyoon) He was an active person till his death. And he was a great personality.

Another gem leaves us, may his soul rest in peace and may he be placed highly in Jannah with all the love and care be showered on him by Allah and may he get a nearer place to Hadhrat Muhammad s.a.w.w in jannah … may it be true for all of us too.

“A very renowned scholar of Ahmadi community Mirza Abdul Haq died in Sargodha on 26th August 2006. He was 106 years old. He was an advocate who started practice in Gurdaspur in early 1930s, later after partition he migrated to Sargodha and started his practice there. He remained President of Ahmadiyya community in Sargodha ever since 1947. He was also President, member and advisor of several Ahmadiyya community institutions and served the community for 84 years. He was considered a very revered figure in the Ahmadiyya Jamaat. He wrote several volumes on his religious understanding of Ahmadi faith. He was well versed in Urdu, Persian, Arabic and English. His funeral was offered on 27th August 2006 by more than 10,000 people in Rabwah, led by Mirza Khursheed Ahmad Ameer and President of Ahmadiyya Community in Pakistan. He was later buried in the Ahmadiyya graveyard in Rabwah.”

A very blessed soul indeed, for having lived such a long and active life…

I hope the fond memories will often bring a smile to your lips, instead of filling you with sadness.

I read this news in an email, and I was very shocked at this news! We were just remembering Mirza Abdul Haq Sahib this morning! I was reading a news article on a woman who just died who was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest human being. She was 116. My mother said next time we read the Guiness Book of World Records Mirza Abdul Haq Sahib’s picture will be there. I hope and pray to Allah that may He grant Mirza Abdul Haq Sahib a high status in Heaven, and may Allah give patience to all family members. Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Ilayhay Raaji’oon
