Fun with Car

Assalam o alaykum w.w.!

Oh GOD … start of the day was so mazaydaar …. Really … after some 2 years I had my hands again on car steering … maneuvering (ok maybe I was maneuvering the car a little bit more than people usually do *sheepish smile*) … accelerating … braking … Good Gosh … well what if the braking would bring the car to a sudden halt ;)

My driving scene dates back to my bachpan … here’s a tip for all driving learners … never ask your dads to teach you … seriously in my school days whenever I would ask my pa to teach me driving … our car used to run on FIRST GEAR only … he won’t even teach me where’s the second gear … and he would take me or my sis to a ground where in first gear we’d he two rounds and we were happy … DAYS CHANGED … then we found a right person … and he really taught us well … my sis became fluent … she used to go to her office in car … I again stayed back … LOLZ … in those days once I steered the car to a green belt and drove on it for some 5 minutes … Ooooooh believe me it was running smoothly … ;)

Then in 2003 October, we (me and my friend) had a terrible accident … No I wasn’t driving :D our car loved the truck coming from front and gave a real big hug … I fainted for some 15-20 minutes and when opened up eyes there were PEOPLE …. Phew … then I was in full move (in utter emergencies instead of losing heart I gear up fully) … called my father told him about exact location … I had bruises and broken glass insertions … my friend’s head was bleeding … so people arranged taxi and we flew off to hospital … the place was near to ours place when ami and abu reached we had already gone … since the car was high roof (I hate that car) and the truck completely smashed passenger side (I still don’t know how I survived, I wish I would not have fainted :( to get complete acci-view myself ) anyhow ami said I got so frightened that you are gone or something and prayed really … I guess it was her prayers that stood by me … anyhow  … for one week  I couldn’t stand up from bed … though I didn’t took much shock … but abu never gave me car keys again … alas!

So today’s starting experience was so so good … ok so what if my car came to a sudden halt in one of the round abouts and the uncle coming from my right gave a much angry look :) anyhow chacha’s a good sport … I’ll enjoy driving with him … so beware of me if you love walking on Islamabad roads in the early morning … today was a good reminder … apart from few bad breakups YOU DID GREAT ASMA … I’m happy with you … Carry ON :D

Office Time … gotta go … bu-byes!

Drive with care, the worst thing is being in car accidents. I hate that. I don’t want to hear metal hitting metal and to see folks hurt. Glad you and your friend were okay.

Lo kar lo gal…My parents discovered that I could drive long after I had learnt to… :D

As for the serious road accidents I’ve been in, one happened while I was riding my bike (at 90kph…hee hee!) and the other was when I fell out of a car (moving at 70kph) at a turn (I wasn’t the driver!), on account of a faulty door lock. I escaped death miraculously both times and had only a few stitches on different parts of my face (causing me to be on a liquids-only diet for a dew days…boo hoo…), besides other scrapes and bruises, to show for it all. :)

90kph is definitely quite a bit for a crash on a bike!

Otherwise, one can cruise down the highway at much higher speeds and enjoy the experience too…more than in any four-wheeler… :)
