اثراتِ فراق لمحوں میں جاتے نہیں
محبتوں کا حساب اشک بھی دے پاتے نہیں
گو سانسوں کا زیر و بَم ابھی باقی ہے
زندگی کا پتا یہ بتلاتے نہیں
دل کے نہاں خانوں میں چھپائے راز
یوں سرِ عام مقامِ آگہی پاتے نہیں
اِک مسکراہٹ چہرے پہ سجائے
لو آج ہم اپنا آپ دکھلاتے نہیں
ہر قدم پہ یورشِ جذبات پلٹ آتے ہیں
کیونکر ہم یہ رستہ بھلا پاتے نہیں
تندئِ برسات سینے میں ہے مؤجزن
یہ سب آنسو آنکھوں سے چھلک جاتے نہیں

dard bhi seenay mein hai
shikway, gilay phir shukrya
yeh sirf maza jeenay mein hai

Untamed Desires
I’ve tried my hand at poetry only twice in my life. One was a piece in English for a very dear friend, whom you know as Ra (http://rahuldoes.blogspot.com) and he was kind enough to appreciate it. The other one was a fun piece in Urd-lish (Urdu+English) for some one who didn’t appreciate it at all!
Bohat Khoob,bil khusoos matlay or maqtay ma aik hi mud’da uthaya hai aap na, lagta ha waqai ashkoon ka ik toofan mojzan raha hoga, tesra shar ‘dil ka nihan khano ma…’ is particularly very good…
