Blown Out!

Assalam o alaykum w.w!

This last day was a way long drive, I ever had in my life :) From Saturday’s night, heavy downpour and drizzling was witnessed in all northern areas of Pakistan. Despite all this, our trip wasn’t cancelled. Quite a long tour was planned i.e., we were going to Ayubia through Islamabad then to Harnoyi, Galliyat and out return to Islamabad was through Abottabad.

I reached our campus with my camera, lots of chewing gums, mobile, joggers and some money wearing the most warm shawl of Ami I could find [accidentally, I left my sweater on my bed, but I had winter’s clothing on so it helped :) ] Anyways. We took the back part of bus, this time 25 out of 30 of our class were going and that helped a lot. As senior most batch we had some privileges :) We set off at around 9:30 [almost 1 hr late of our schedule ]

This time we had sir Amir with his family, sir Asim, sir Shakeel and our HOD was going too :( with Ma’m Sadia [oh! She’s our n/working teacher almost of our age group, may be 2-3 yrs elder and is very sweet], ma’m Munira, moniba, saima and farheen.

So we had lots of staff with us with almost more than 250 students. Anyways, through out the way we enjoyed a lot with loads of songs, some mehndi songs as well, and constant “Fikray baziyan” from my side and mahwish’s [my class fellow, we two are masters in this act :) ]!

It rained all the way, we couldn’t stay at ayubia and harnoyi due to rain, at last our buses stopped at Nathia Gali [NG], where the rain was it light at that time, anyways all few starting restaurants were filled by our fellows, as throughout the way we had eaten sandwiches, kebabs, and few snacks so we were quite filled in.

I was in search of some tea. As in NG most of the restaurants are two or three floors high, so mahgul eyed a place quite far where pakoras were in making. So we 3 friends left the place to go ahead, in the mid way rain started dropping heavily so we climbed up to another near restaurant, we were delighted as their were only 3 girls inside, and further more it was much cleaner place. We ordered for tea and a plate of Chicken biryani, biryani that came later had not a single piece of chicken so we asked for roti and some Daal :) instead. Curry made up of channas came that was very delicious.

There was a room with a washroom there and with a dressing mirror as well, so we corrected our “huliyas”, and took some pix. Then almost and hour spending there we thought to leave for the bus. Thanks to Allah, we went there at right time as after us rain was heavier than ever plus the extra “Olay” [trying to remember the eng. Word for it :) ].

People who came after us were all soaked up, it was very cold, and the chill was getting into spines! Then buses left at almost 3 to Abbottabad, we 5-6 girls hanged to the rod hangers in the middle of bus’s roof imagining as if we are on chair lifts, kabhi yahan girtay kabhi wahan girtay, that was quite fun [as a result of which I’m having few bruises right now :) ].

We were constantly assured by our [not so beloved – take him to be an evil character of our uni :) ] HOD that we’d surely stay somewhere but nah….! We didn’t! “ Teray waaday pay jiye hum tu yah jaan, jhoot jana Kay khushi say mar naa jatay gar aitebaar hota ”

Oh…! It’s a long story from here as well, in short out of our 11 hr long trip we almost stayed in buses for 9.5 hrs, so u can well imagine of our condition. At Wah, after lots of “dhamkis”, the buses were made to stop as people wanted to go to washrooms and our HOD wasn’t permitting buses to stop as he wanted to reach campus at time.

That was a bad part for some [alhamdo lillah I wasn’t one :) ]. The winds were quite chilly here in Islamabad a swell. We planned to get Monday off as we were all dead tired. The last night was with pains coming from everywhere and it’s so cold that I’m still wearing a-very-warm-knitted-by-ami sweater :) In short, lack of management and organization was there on Admin’s part, plus the rains made all the plans failed.

But we enjoyed the bus part with so much of things we did, comments on people we made, songs we sung for teachers. It was a momentarily enjoyed trip with moments of control [that only my Class fellows could understand ;) ], moments of joy, moments of exasperation, moments of fun, all emotions combined up :) , as I use to say it sab millay ga suspense, drama, action, thrill, violence [bas there was no romance :) ]

Thus we concluded each of our trip is bound to have lot to offer, and is bound to be a totally different experience ;)

Allah hafiz!
