I. II. &. III.
I.
Be like the flowing river,
Silent in the night.
Be not afraid of the dark,
If there are stars in the sky, reflect them back.
If there are clouds in the sky,
Remember, clouds, like the river, are water,
So, gladly, reflect them too,
In your own tranquil depths.
These few lines, by Manuel Bandeira, begin the book “Like the Flowing River” (Paulo Coelho). Day-to-day accounts and experiences, all of us experience as well, are collected in this book. And of few Paulo’s books I’ve gone through, this is undoubtedly the best.
It’s in human psyche to seek lessons from experiences encountered in real life … drawing meanings out of unknown and unseen is almost impossible (remember, we’re all not geniuses)
The best part of this book is its preface … inshah allah will scrawl it down, here, someday too.
II.
Since, the lal masjid event … life has taken a strange turn. Surrounded by confused thoughts. But like all other phases in life; this, too, will pass.
III.
Tranquility demands peace. Peace demands relaxation. Relaxation demands harmonized mind. Harmonized mind demands a heart ready to absorb in all emotions … and hearts not at ease with the absorption without any spill-off!!! Any suggestions???
&.
I’m tired of restlessness in the country … peace is all I want!!
Peace!

I. Nice
II. Yes this one too will pass..leaving behind the scars stained by innocent blood.
III. We can attain this by keeping truth in front of us all the time by practising moderation..be it joy or sorrow.
&
Everyone of us has to emit positive energy …including you and I and most importantly people in power.

“Let Go” things as much as u can….and i remember someone saying k zindagi main du alfaz hamesha yaad rakho “Tu Kia” When i just can’t press nething inside myself nemore and feel like shouting out but can’t do that as well then these two words tend to help!
I. It was amazing……and so true……I havent read this book as yet but surely will……!
II. The entire Lal Masjid episode still seems like a mystery to me…….it gets more and more tangled everyday and I find it so hard to see who is for real and who is not. However its an empty feeling one gets inside after this entire event. An awkward feeling.
III. Yes I so want my country to be a peaceful place moving towards prosperity but however things are going the other way round which makes it so sad…….this is our home……
where are u Asma? not that regular as u were used to b.. khair hai na?
Aart Thanks for coming by … I’ve already seen Paulo’s website … and remarkable stuff … Thanks for mentioning your blog too … thanks a lot
Zios I cant agree less on ur philosphical hikayaat
Yu can be saadi too … !!
Jokes apart … at times the environment around becomes so puffy that emitting positive energy remains not ana easy task … henceforth!
Fariha at least for me saying Tu Kiya is not simpler … I just cant say tu kiya and move ahead … shruddering worries away … Sometimes digging in and levelling thing to take a step further is more wise … and at others this tu kiya … you just need to have the rite brain powers to do this
Hera* Go ahead its a very nice one
and mystery or no mystery … when it comes to your country and conflicts they leave a hollow inside … I say amen to the prayers for our home
Aks.. you know where I’m

Beautifully cascading bit of prose.Might I suggest a little correction?
‘Peace demands tranquility.Tranqulity demands relaxation. – - – - ‘
A little prayer : ‘May we all be at peace with ourselves’.
Thanks for the correction or suggestion … It sounds better now in this order … thnx for coming by
Peace, indeed!
