Compilers – Flasback
A few days back I received an Email, a surprising e-mail, from a teacher of mine at university. I was surprised more so because Man, he was so shy – I remember he won’t even tell us his full name the first day. He taught really well though. Being the CR for 2.5 years in university, I enjoyed quite some PR privileges too. No, no , no Not in terms of grades; rather in making sure that my point is made and concerns haven’t fallen pry to a dumb head. Once, I had to suffer from it too … But even that proved good at the end. Position comes with responsibility always and I adore both.
So, where was I? Yeah right, the mail. After reading his mail, I ran a search through my e-mail archives and Bingo found this interesting peice that I sent to my class regarding an assignment. Laughed for minut
Sir have given these details, no due dates yet decided……!
1. construct a language syntax on ur own. with constructs as while loop …….. or anyother such thing u r using…. at least 8 constructs would be handled / verified … with some having their syntax verified and some not verified.2. Predictive parser (recursive ) implement
3. a table as sr. no | Line no ————> for errors
—————–
incorporate this parser with lex too!————-
we’d be defining certain grammar as done in lex, then on paper we’d be writing the constructs (for ConstructRref could consult msdn –> language specs. —> basic constructs) first and would be doing the parsing on paper of verifying the constructs …. this paper work is also to be submitted! the rough work before coding of parser…!———-
Hope u’ve understood ……….. if not come up with detailed queries coz mujhay bhi aisaa hi khuch samajh aaya hay ………
