Fragrance that Lasts: Love

Probably its in human psyche to associate human touches with fragrances. The sweet and light fragrance of motiyaa reminds me always of my mother. The purity and sweetness …. and the hidden yet so obvious love 
There used to be a very huge plant of Motiyaa in our lawn … with heavy dosage of fragrant flowers :~) Ami used to pluck some and would make balay (ear loops) and would wear them. Wow … that’d make motiyay kay phool even more fragrant and lovely.
Motiyaa is synonymous to ami for me =))
Do you have any associations with flowers? or Fragrances?
And and … I wonder why roses are so popular as show of love … for me it should be Motiyaa … always =)

I admire the fact that nature has created all flowers beautiful, each of them with with its own unique look and smell.

i remember those good ol’ days when i was in Pakistan & in those humid nights of monsoon their fragrance used to be everywhere..my nani absolutely loves em & there used to be two three plants in our lawns during..their fragrance’s so outa this world..i absolutely love it & i miss their fragrance out here in the deserts:(

Oh Yeah !!! This particular flower always remind me of my beautiful Mamma too, She used to buy this flowers almost daily and wear it in her hair, by arranging them in a thread.
How I miss that fragnance, which never fails to remind me of my Mother …

Nice pic! And love motia. We also used to have 2-3 plants in our lawn, but now here, in our new residence, we’ve got roses, and our neighbors have got motia.

as for me than i simply love flowers and no matter what the color the flower is or what fragrance its having its all about peace and love!!
PS: would love to get a black rose from somewhere though

Oh yes. We have motiya planted in our ’sehen’ in Karachi - the evening breeze there is always smelling of motiya. Plus sometimes ammi takes a bud or two and puts her ‘baaliyaan’ through it

For me its Raat ki Raani for various reasons..reminds me of old loved ones in my family who are long dead now…not to mention its fragrance is mersmerizing..I have its plant in my garden

Hmm nice idea.. i’ve been fortunate to meet a lot of great people in my life so far.. and every one of them seemed to have a fragrance of their own - maybe better or perhaps different from any of the flowers’ fragrances

My mother loves Motia and once I remember she made Sharbat (a local drink) with it. I believe Motia Sharbat is quite famous…it is in Sindh for sure. Love it.
Its the national Flower of Pakistan also right?

oh yes I have em…in my case many incidents many phases are related to fragrances..the fragrance of “still” perfume and then tat of chanel 5 with my abu and many others..
