‘19th Jan’ & Afterwards!
Assalam o alaykum w.w.!
Well, I wanted to write a post since 19th January but was either so tired [of sleeping
] or busy [in watching TV] that just couldn’t find time to do so. Anyways, today I thought کہ لکھ ہی لیتے ہیں
Anyways, on 19th it was my Birthday … well, as usual I was sleeping and being awaken by my friends who had brought cake and gifts. They just stayed for 1-2 hours so did some after-uni chit chat.
I remember all the events on 19th Jan, for the past 3-4 years very clearly. The one that came in 1999 was really good, as it was eid on the same day … and surprisingly so many guest came on that eid and everyone brought a cake [and I was wondering how did they knew that it’s my b’day : )]. Then 19th Jan 2002 was the worst day of my life. The day when doctors had finally diagnosed about ami’s conditions and I came to knew that she’s suffering from well-spread ovarian cancer. That very day I came to know the meaning of پیروں کے نیچے سے زمین نکلنا. I was in Islamabad, while ami and abu were in Lahore, all relatives were gathered there, ami called and just wished me … it was hard to hear her voice and behave as if I’m not crying. I passed that very day almost crying and sobbing. Anyways, then in 2003, Ami was perfectly well and healthy just gone for regular check-ups. She sang to me “Happy birthday to my dear asma” on phone
Then in 2004, ami, abu, me n my sis were here in Islamabad, we celebrated by eating pizza [my fav dish!]. Well, this year … my sisters sent cake and so many chocolates and gifts for me … but this time it was like … Accha b’day hay … koi nahiin ……!
Well, Eid Mubarak to all of you … though a bit belated … but still! Well, this was pretty boring … our bakra was so cute though …! The Eid day started with us rushing in the morning for the eid prayers! That is the most fun part of eid … well this time I was all alone as neither ami nor any of my sis was here … only me, abu and bhai went for eid. There in the mosque, after prayers and khutbah n’ dua’a, we met some relatives and family friends. Then came back at around 10:30 … the hunt for the qasayi began … our qasayi … who’s being doing the slaughter of our bakras on eid for years … came at around 3 in the evening. So, we got some cooked meal of our bakra for dinner. Rest of the two days, I watched Aladdin, Shark Tale, Independence Day, Finding Nemo, Baghbaan, Loads of Bugs Bunny Cartoons … [I love bugs bunny], Lata Live in Concert, and so many cartoons and dramas on Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. So, you can well imagine now … that how I passed my eid. How was yours???
Well, now I should leave for the Fajr prayers, as واپس آکر یہ میل پوسٹ بھی تو کرنی ہے۔
Oh … did I tell that it snowed here on Margala hills ……. Oh… I love my beautiful Islamabad so much …! And do check out this link : ) Poetry: On The Canvas

So, Adieu from my side … And Be happy … and Remain Happy … at least we can give it a try!!!
