شہر میں آوازوں کا کال پڑا لوگو
ہر چہرہ دو ٹکڑوں میں تقسیم ہوا
اب کے دلوں میں ایسا بال پڑا لوگو
جب بھی دیارِ خندہ دلاں سے گزرے ہیں
اس سے آگے شہرِ ملال پڑا لوگو
آئے رت اور جائے رت کی بات نہیں
اب تو عمروں کا جنجال پڑا لوگو
تلخ نوائی کا مجرم تھا صرف فراز
پھر کیوں سارے باغ پہ جال پڑا لوگو
The beautiful words were written by Ahmad faraz year back. He’s not amongst us any more. Inna Lillah e wa inna alyhe rajeyoon. We all have to leave eventually … for good I pray.
When away from home … you gather there’s nothing that can equate the feeling of being in your own carefree surroundings. I hate double faced talk … away from home that’s what you get the most. Will write in detail laters. But now I feel so edgy. Edgy after doing what you dont want to do … or simply you just don’t know if its ok. Talk that puts you off and talk that makes you ecstatic.
Life’s strange. It has taken a strange turn.

Funny that Hina mentioned those text messages… I was about to write a full post on them when the news of Faraz’s death arrived, and I let the idea go.
By the way, life is always strange. The sooner we learn to enjoy its strangeness, the better.

At first I couldn’t understand what those txt msgs meant when they had Faraz written in Capital letters. A few were funny but others were just tooo lame!
