Bakray wali Eid

Mubarak.

Just back from namaaz. Ahh my Isloo looked so lovely this morning … washed up … khali khali .. autumn leaves spread around. Ahh … I’ll miss you like crazies :’(

The bakra is Bah and Bah-ing outside .. this year we got an angry faced bakra. The bakra of previous year was  cutie. See him here:

The Blue Eyed

The roasted leg of his was yummy too.

Now I better go and grab some more shots of Angry Young Man before his time to depart comes. Thinking what to cook since abu’s already out on hunt for the qasayi. I hate cooking mutton :s

Would it be too cheeky if I say the bakra is saying Eid Mubarak … awww … !

On serious note, if you have done qurbani please maintain a check in your surroundings. We neglect the needy unconsciously at time and keep on shuffling meat from one home to other. In present situation of country, it is not a difficult task to find families around who haven’t even tasted some mutton since months. There may be some security guards around on duty … probably a home-cooked plate of good meal they are looking forward to … at least today. Such people should be foremost in your list. May Allah reward you for the humblest of deeds with His abundant bounties.

Love .. Prayers & Eid Mubarak!

I romanced with this city once… not anymore but still somewhere it’s dear to me.

The bakra… is so cute :P

Well, needy “never” stop ringing our bell. My father believes in equal distribution. I have never bothered about it :P

Eid Mubarak

and awww , that Bakara… so cute :P

hfmDecember 11th, 2008 at 4:13 pm

Awww-the goat is a cutiee-love how you said that the meat was yummy too!
Eid is so different in the UK-there’s no slaughtering at home or anything, just meat is delivered in plastic bags, cut and cleaned.
I guess I need to experience an Eid in an Asian country!
Hope your Eid was great!
:)

mEDecember 11th, 2008 at 4:24 pm

exquisite hay naa hay naa :o )

hfm yup you must :)

Seems like my eids are gonna be like this too from now onwards .. sigh ..khair ;)

Lucky u, going to masjog for prayers, havent been to a Masjid ever :(

ExquisiteDecember 12th, 2008 at 6:11 pm

waisay asma… it’s not fair
u gave that poor bakra false hope… pampered him, and then, becharay ko suli per chara diya… :)

unless he knew that he was going to be slaughtered nonetheless and in the meanwhile, enjoy the moment of getting all the attention … then u’re forgiven :P

mEDecember 13th, 2008 at 5:55 pm

Anonymous LOL … yeah eventually the fate was in tummies ;)

Masjid is utter fun :)

Exquisite LOL nahi nahi uss becharay ko bata diya tha kay bhai … hona tu qurban hihay :)
